Petzl requests the immediate inspection of certain GRILLON products following the detection of ropes mounted incorrectly in the rope adjuster of recently produced products.
Due to the risk of unintentional opening of this attachment point, which could result in a life-threatening situation, we ask you to stop any use of these harnesses and carry out the following inspection immediately
Petzl has issued a recall of PIRANA descenders (D005AA00 and D005AA01) due to a drowning risk if the rope accidentally gets blocked in the blocking slot. Immediately stop using the descenders affected by this recall.
CLOSED: Petzl have received reports of rope slippage while using the ZIGZAG®, ZIGZAG® PLUS and ZILLON. Petzl ask users to do a manual inspection and a function test of your product to detect any possible slippage.
This information concerns the Petzl PIRANA descenders released after January 2020. Upon receiving feedback from users regarding instances of unintended blocking of the rope in the locking slot of the PIRANA, Petzl has updated the technical notice.
A Petzl’s client found 2 critical defects on his Petzl low-stretch kernmantle ropes. To date, noone else has reported similar defects, and no accident or injury is known. Please read the information below and, if necessary, inspect your ropes.

CLOSED. Petzl has recalled ZigZag mechanical prussik for arborists, pre 2014 model. Check your serial number, if affected process a return and replacement free of charge.
